Hemant Soren Govt has failed on all fronts: Deepak Prakash

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State BJP President Deepak Prakash has called the Hemant Soren government as incompetent and charged it with not fulfilling its promises made to the people. He also critiqued the state government to have failed in using the budget allocated to the state by the central government and said that the government has presided over many irregularities, including those related to illegal mining.

The State BJP president was addressing mediapersons in Jamshedpur after having concluded his Kolhan tour on Monday. He has been touring entire Kolhan region since last Friday. He met BJP workers and leaders of Chaibasa, Seraikela, Jamshedpur Rural and Jamshedpur Urban units. On Monday, he met the BJP workers of Jamshedpur Urban areas too. He also addressed a press conference in Jamshedpur.

Since after taking over the reins of State BJP, this was his first tour of Kolhan. He toured the Kolhan region to reinvigorate the party cadres here. In the last Assembly elections, BJP lost all the 14 Assembly seats in Kolhan, although the entire Kolhan region has traditionally been a stronghold of the party.

Speaking to the media in Jamshedpur, he said that the party would once again stand up with new energy. He said that the party did have some lapses and those have been addressed. The party would once again shine in Kolhan region, he added.

He also denied that there was any factionalism or internal squabbling within the party.

Deepak Prakash also refused to make any comment on Saryu Roy factor.

Launching a scathing on Hemant Soren government, he said that the state government has failed on all fronts of governance. He said that while the government has sat through PPE Kit scam as well as sand and iron ore bungling, he said that his party would raise these issues strongly in the coming days.

He said that more than 1300 cases of sexual assault on Adivasi women have taken place in the state and the government is still sitting silent.

He said that the same government that made a big show of airlifting the migrant labourers is now unable when the labourers are once again migrating to other states in search of work.

He said that the Hemant government has been unable to spend the budget allocated by the union government due to inefficiency.

Defending the farm laws, he said that the bills would double the income of the farmers. He termed the farmers’ protest as a trouble fomented by the Congress and other opposition parties.

He said that the Farm Bills 2020 were prepared based on the Congress manifesto, despite this Congress has been misleading the farmers.

He also said that Babulal Marandi would remain the leader of the opposition in Jharkhand Assembly.
