Coronavirus claims 1 life on Tuesday, total death toll now 360

Total infections 16,261, recovery rate 91%, mortality rate 2.2%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has claimed 1 more life on Tuesday in Jamshedpur, taking the total death toll for East Singhbhum district to 360.

According to official data, 36 fresh coronavirus infection cases were also detected in the district taking the total number of infections to 16,261.

On the other hand, 85 patients of coronavirus were also cured and discharged from different hospitals of the city. Till date, 14,765 patients of coronavirus have been cured and discharged from hospitals and home quarantines in the district.

For now, the district has 1,136 active coronavirus infection cases.

Till Tuesday, the recovery rate for the district was 91%, while the mortality rate remained stable at 2.2%. The positivity rate for the district has come down to 5%, which is a positive sign as positivity rate of 5% or less is taken as a good sign and a sign of decline in the disease.
