2 arrested with pistol in Sakchi firing case, sent to judicial custody

Jamshedpur: The city police achieved a major success by arresting two accused in the Sakchi firing case within 24 hours of the incident.

The police have arrested two accused Dashrath Shukla and Vikas Kumar Singh with a 7.65 mm country-made pistol and three live cartridges and have sent them to judicial custody.

According to police, Dashrath Shukla and Rahul Chhabra had a dispute Monday evening over some money matters. Soon the verbal exchanges turned abusive and during this Dashrath Shukla took out a pistol and fired at Rahul Chhabra. The latter escaped the bullet narrowly.

According to police, soon after the firing incident Dashrath Shukla allegedly handed over the weapon and the cartridge to his friend Vikas Singh and escaped.

Giving the details about the arrests, the City Dy SP Anudeep Singh told the media that the police have arrested both the accused within 24 hours and have sent them to judicial custody.

It may be added that the firing incident in front of Sakchi Reliance Fresh outlet on Monday had caused quite a commotion.
