28 bars and 125 gyms re-open in Jamshedpur expecting brisk business

Strict guidelines for bars and gyms, any violation would cause closure, legal case too

Jamshedpur: According to the guidelines issued by the Government of Jharkhand for Unlock 5 in the state, 28 licensed bars and around 125 gymnasiums opened business from Sunday, November 1, 2020. They would need to comply with the guidelines issued for hotels and restaurants.

There are some strict guidelines for the gymnasiums and bars. Everyone entering a gymnasium or a bar must be wearing a mask.

According to sources, 45 bar licences have bee issued in East Singhbhum district. However, only 28 have renewed their licences. So, 17 other bars would remain closed.

Those bars and gyms which are found not following the guidelines issued by the government would be closed down and a case would also be registered against them under the Pandemic Act.

The DC Suraj Kumar has asked all the incident commanders to ensure that social distancing and unlock rules are followed strictly in bars and gyms. They would regularly carry out checks in bars and gyms and if any guideline is found not being complied with, the specific bar and gym would be closed down and a case would be registered against the operator.

On the other hand, a gymnasium operator of Kadma, Ankita has expressed happiness at the government decision to allow gyms to re-open. She said that due to a long closure a lot of difficulties were cropping up. She said that she would run the gym while complying with the government guidelines in all respects.
