Corona in Jharkhand on Saturday: 5 die, total death toll 734

Ranchi: Coronavirus has taken 5 more lives on Saturday in Jharkhand taking the total death toll due to the virus to 734 in the state.

According to official data, the state has tested a total of 23,63,412 samples till Saturday. Out of these, only 86,277 samples tested active.

On Saturday, a total of 877 new corona positive cases were detected in the state.

On the other hand, on Saturday itself, 1,176 patients were also.cured and discharged in the state, taking the total number of cured and discharged patients to 74,604.

The state has 10,939 active cases of coronavirus infections till Saturday. Death remains a concern for the state, as the total death toll has been rising steadily with almost daily addition to it.

East Singhbhum remains the most affected district of the state in both number of cases as well as number of deaths.
