Bihar Police team leader Binay Tiwari quarantined in Mumbai, investigations thwarted

New Delhi: The investigations into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death case are turning murkier by the day.

With the charges that Mumbai police is not co-operating with the Bihar police team sent to Mumbai, the tussle between the police of two states is only going to deepen in the days to come.

Now comes the latest update that the leader of the Bihar police team has been quarantined in Mumbai.

Binay Tiwari, the leader of the Bihar police team sent to Mumbai to investigate the actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case, has been quarantined by the BMC officials at 11 p.m. Sunday.

The DGP of Bihar Gupteshwar Pandey has stated that IPS officer Binay Tiwari reached Mumbai from Patna on official duty to lead the police team there, but he has been forcibly quarantined by BMC officials at 11 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Pandey added: “He was not provided accommodation in the IPS mess despite request and was staying in a guest house in Goregaon.”

He also commented: “Binay Tiwari has been forcefully quarantined. He had gone there to lead the team investigating the SSR case. Now, he cannot go out of there.”

On the other hand Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti too has wondered if this was real. She reacted: “What? Is this even for real? How can an officer sent on duty be quarantined for 14 days?”

It is not clear yet how the Bihar police team or the government would react to this move by the Maharashtra government.

There are many who feel that Maharashtra government is not enough in the case and would do everything to thwart the Bihar police team getting to the bottom of the case.

The fans of Sushant Singh Rajput and his family members have already been raising the demand for a CBI inquiry into his case. Subramanian Swamy, BJP MP, has already hinted that this may be a possible murder case.
