189 new Covid-19 positive cases in Jharkhand, total reaches 3963

Total deaths 33, active cases 1579, cured 2351

Ranchi: Covid-19 has been spreading its wings in the state unrelentingly. On Monday, 189 new Covid-19 positive patients were found in the state.

Out of these 189 new patients, one is from Bokaro, two are from Chatra, 20 from Deoghar, six from Dhanbad, five from Jamshedpur, five from Garhwa, six from Giridih, two from Godda, 39 from Hazaribagh, two from Jamtara, one from Khunti, six from Kodarma, four from Lohardaga, 20 from Pakur, two from Palamu, 20 from Ramgarh, 40 from Ranchi, two from Sahibganj, three from Simdega and three are from Chaibasa.

This takes the total number of infection cases in the state to 3963. For now, the state has 1622 active cases, while 33 persons have died.

The state has tested 1,84,656 samples till date, out of which 3963 have been reported as positive.

Yesterday, seven persons had lost their lives in Jharkhand lost seven (7) lives on one day due to Corona as the disease starts wreaking havoc in different parts of the state.

Seeing the rise in the numbers, several districts have started imposing curbs on activities to slow down the spread of the disease.
