Ranchi: Corona has caused two more deaths in the state taking the total death toll to 15 in Jharkhand by 9 p.m. on Tuesday. 60 more persons have tested positive in the state during the last 24 hours taking the total number of infected persons to 2490. However, the state currently has only 591 active cases.
According to reports received by the health department, one woman has died in Hazaribagh on June 29, while another 36-year-old person has died in Giridih due to Corona. The woman had a pre-existing co-morbid condition and she was admitted into RIMS for better treatment and was tested for Covid-19 positive. Her report came out positive after death.
On the other hand, 60 persons have been found Corona positive in different districts of the state. 15 have tested positive in Dhanbad, 14 in Ranchi, 14 in East Singhbhum, three in Simdega, two each in Seraikela, Lohardaga and Garhwa, while one each have tested positive in Hazaribagh, Kodarma, Sahibganj and Deoghar districts. With this the total number of infected persons has reached 2490.
In all, 1884 persons have been cured and discharged from hospitals. Today too, 35 persons were cured and discharged.
