Ranchi: Timely intervention from the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren and the Health Minister Mr. Banna Gupta has perhaps saved the life of Sabita Kumari of Ladi village in Barwadih block of Latehar district. The girl’s ailment has been diagnosed as leprosy and she has been given the MDT pack (leprosy medicine). This has been confirmed by the DC of Latehar.
The DC of Latehar has also informed that Rs. 10 thousand has been given as medical aid and arrangements are being made to send her to Dhanbad Nirmal Leprosy Centre for better treatment.
This quick intervention from the CM and the Health Minister of Jharkhand as well as prompt action from the district administration of Latehar has won the hearts of people on social media.
The CM Hemant Soren and the Health minister Banna Gupta Both have issued instructions to the district administration and the health authorities to provide required medical help to the girl on behalf of the state government.
Reacting to a tweet by a journalist Mr. Gopi Kr Singh of Sadhna Plus News, Mr Hemant Soren asked the district administration as well as the health minister to provide necessary help.
The health minister too reacted fast and informed him that instructions have been issued to the Cvil Surgeon of Latehar to ensure proper medical treatment to the girl. He said that he is personally keeping an eye on the case.
Mr. Gopi Kr Singh in his tweet had brought to the attention of the CM as well as Health Minister the condition of the girl from Ladi village in Latehar district.
Posting a picture of her leg, he said that she is fast losing her leg due to an unidentified disease.
Now the doctors have diagnosed the disease as leprosy and she is likely to get better medical aid.
