District Election Officer Directs Private Hospitals to Ensure Smooth Health Facilities During Lok Sabha Elections

The District Election Officer, Ananya Mittal, convened a meeting with representatives of private hospitals in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal and Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi at the Collectorate Auditorium in Jamshedpur, focusing on the role of private hospitals during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – During the meeting, the District Election Officer emphasized the need to maintain smooth functioning of all medical facilities to effectively handle any sudden incidents affecting polling and police-paramilitary forces deployed for election work.

Private hospitals were instructed to keep their manpower and ambulances active 24×7 to ensure prompt response to any medical emergencies. The District Election Officer also discussed the possibility of providing free treatment to security forces by connecting them with the Ayushman scheme.

Cashless Treatment for Polling Personnel

The District Election Officer directed private hospitals to provide the benefit of cashless medical treatment to all polling personnel as per the prescribed provisions, ensuring their well-being during the election process.

Meeting Attended by Key Officials and Hospital Representatives

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Director, Social Security Officer, representatives of private hospitals, and other concerned officials, underscoring the importance of collaboration between the administration and healthcare providers to ensure the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha elections.
