Ranchi: One more person has died of Corona virus infection in Jharkhand on Wednesday. With this, the total death tally in the state due to Covid-19 has reached 12.
On the other hand, 18 more persons have tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday taking the total infection tally to 2219 in the state. However, 55 persons have also recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours and they were discharged from hospitals.
State health department sources said that one person has died of Corona infection in Hazaribagh on Wednesday, June 24. This has increased the death tally for the state to 12. 18 new cases were reported from different parts of the state. However, this is the lowest number of new persons testing positive in the state during entire June month.
Out of the 18 new cases five are from Dhanbad, four from Hazaribagh, two from East Singhbhum, two from Khunti, one from Deoghar, one from Lohardagga, one from Palamu, one from Ranchi and one from Seraikela.
This has taken the total number of infected persons to 2219 in the state. However, only 632 cases are active for now.
On Tuesday, 53 persons were found positive, so Wednesday saw a sharp decline in the number of new cases.
