Narbheram Hansraj English School Celebrates Founder’s Legacy with Cultural Extravaganza
NHES commemorates 131st Founder’s Day with a blend of cultural performances and academic excellence.
JAMSHEDPUR – Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) celebrated its 131st Founder’s Day with great enthusiasm on Saturday.
The event was graced by prominent figures including Nakul Kamani, President of the school’s Managing Committee, Varsha Gandhi, Secretary, Devang Gandhi, Joint Secretary, Chandrakant Zatakia, Treasurer, and other esteemed committee members.
The school annually honors its founder, Sri Narbheram Hansraj Kamani, a philanthropic visionary responsible for establishing Narbheram group institutions.
Nakul Kamani, continuing his legacy, has played a pivotal role in elevating NHES to one of the town’s premier educational institutions.
The festivities began with Nakul Kamani paying tribute to the founder.
A showcase titled "A Slice of NHES" highlighted students’ skills in leadership, collaboration, digital literacy, and critical thinking, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP).
Soumyadeep Bhattacharya, a student from STD 11, delivered an emotional declamation speech, "I see something in you," which earned him second place in the ASISC Declamation Contest.
The school’s younger students impressed with a fusion of classical and western dances, securing second place in Loyola School’s "The speech I see" competition.
NHES’s band delivered an enthralling performance of "Hotel California," captivating the audience and winning second place in Carmel Junior College’s Summit 2023.
A dance drama titled "Give Earth a Hand" showcased the students’ commitment to environmental conservation, winning first place in Loyola School’s program.
A heritage ramp walk featuring depictions of the Ramayana and Mahabharata highlighted India’s rich cultural heritage.
A Gujarati dance performance inspired students with the message, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
The event concluded with a live painting of the founder and music, curated by Principal Paramita Chaudhury, celebrating the school’s legacy and achievements.
