Jamshedpur: In support of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the Congress SC Cell organized a demonstration in front of the Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar statue at Thakkar Bapa Maidan in Dhatkidih, Jamshedpur.
Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from parliament membership was condemned by the demonstrators, who referred to it as a “murder of democracy.”
Suresh Mukhi, the district president of the Congress SC Cell, spoke to the crowd and said that the move against Rahul Gandhi was malicious and disrespectful to democracy.
He added that the SC Morcha supports Rahul Gandhi and would continue to demonstrate until justice is given.
Members of the SC Morcha were among the demonstrators who carried signs and shouted chants in favor of Rahul Gandhi. They demanded that justice be done and that his parliamentary membership be restored.
The protestors said that the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Parliament has called into question the political system’s fairness.
