Jamshedpur: A youth was shot at and injured seriously Monday evening by a group of miscreants at Kitadih Gadiwan Patti. The youth who was shot in the head is under treatment in TMH and is in a serious condition.
The injured youth has been identified as one Mohammad Shahzad of Gadiwan Pattir at Kitadih located under the jurisdiction of Parsudih police station in Jamshedpur.
According to police sources, the bullet struck Shahzad in the forehead and he is in a serious condition.
Police sources indicated that the incident was a result of an ongoing tussle between two groups.
The shot youth immediately rushed to Tata Main Hospital for treatment, where he is still being treated.
Police sources indicated that the incident might be connected to a brawl of last Sunday in which Shahzad had assaulted a member of a family in the same locality.
Parsudih police station responded quickly and rushed to the site. Investigations are on.
