Youth Attacked Over Minor Dispute Near Azad Nagar, Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – A minor altercation near Azad Marriage Hall on Old Purulia Road turned violent, leaving a youth injured. Kaif Mobeen, a resident of Jawahar Nagar Road No. 11, was attacked with a razor, sustaining injuries to his hand, abdomen, and back. He was rushed to MGM Hospital for treatment.

Kaif recounted that he was standing near the marriage hall with his friend Imran when a group of five to six men began attacking them over a trivial issue. “They started hitting me when I tried to intervene after they assaulted Imran,” he said.

Robbery Accompanies the Attack

The assailants also robbed Kaif during the attack, snatching his iPhone, silver chain, wallet containing ₹5,000, jacket, and other belongings before fleeing the scene. A shaken Kaif later filed a written complaint with the Azad Nagar police station.

Police Investigation Underway

The police have launched an investigation into the case, but the accused remain at large. Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the culprits. “Efforts are underway to ensure justice for the victim,” said a police official.

This incident has raised concerns about public safety in the area, prompting calls for stricter vigilance.
