JAMSHEDPUR – Services at Sakchi MGM Hospital were disrupted after staff were transferred to a new facility in Dimna.

Patients faced delays as counter 3 remained closed due to the transfer of two employees.

The shortage caused long queues at the emergency counter, which was managed by just one staff member.

Amid the growing crowd, patients protested, leading to chaos.

Home guard personnel had to intervene to restore order.

Approximately 20 workers from various departments and 16 doctors have been relocated to the new Dimna hospital, further affecting services at the Sakchi facility.

With over 1,200 patients visiting the hospital daily, the reduction in available counters and medical staff has worsened the situation.

If new appointments are not made soon, the situation at Sakchi MGM is expected to worsen, impacting patients’ access to timely care.
