JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is set to inaugurate the OPD services of a 500-bed hospital at MGM Medical College in Jamshedpur on October 5.
Ahead of the event, Health Minister Banna Gupta, along with Health Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, inspected the hospital premises to assess the ongoing construction work.
Minister Gupta held a high-level meeting with officials and the project’s contractors, including representatives from L&T, to review the latest updates on the construction.
He highlighted that the current capacity of the hospital stands at 751 beds, including 131 ICU beds and 620 general beds.
Additionally, a 100-bed Critical Care Unit is being built, raising the total capacity to 851 beds.
Gupta emphasized that this facility will provide high-quality healthcare to the residents of Kolhan and nearby districts.
The minister also reviewed plans for the smooth functioning of the hospital and discussed any remaining necessary resources.
He assured that the hospital would soon be fully operational to serve the people of the region.
