Mahila Morcha stages protest against Maaiya Samman Yojana, calls it a nuisance for women.
The Giridih BJP Mahila Morcha protested against the Hemant Soren government on Thursday, criticizing the Maaiya Samman Yojana and staging a demonstration with loud clanging of plates.
GIRIDIH – The Giridih BJP Mahila Morcha led a vigorous protest against the Hemant Soren government, criticizing the Maiyan Samman Yojana and calling it a nuisance for women.
The protest, led by Mahila Morcha state president Aarti Singh, saw participation from district president Mahadev Dubey, district general secretary Sandeep Dangayach, state minister and Gandey candidate Dilip Verma, state executive committee member Suresh Sahu, Chunnukant, MP representative Dinesh Yadav, Mukesh Jalan, Ranjit Barnwal, Shyam Prasad, Usha Kumari, Zilla Parishad president Munia Devi, Shalini Vaishakhiar, Prakash Seth, engineer Vinay Singh, Devnath Rana, Sahil Sharma, Shyabal Ghosh, Sikandar Hembrom, and many other Mahila Morcha workers.
The protesters marched from Jhanda Maidan to the Paparwatand Collectorate building on Giridih Dumri Road.
Anticipating the protest, SDPO Binod Ravani, along with Muffasil police station in-charge Shyam Kishore Mahato, city police station in-charge Shailesh Prasad, inspector Mamta Kumari, and women police station in-charge Dipsikha Kumari, were present with police personnel to maintain order.
Some protesters attempted to climb the gate but were brought down.
Failing in their attempts, the women began clanging plates against the Hemant government.
Holding placards against increasing atrocities on women during Hemant Soren’s tenure, the women stood in the scorching sun, declaring Soren as an incompetent chief minister.
Addressing the media, BJP Mahila Morcha state president Aarti Singh said that atrocities against women are on the rise under Hemant Soren’s government, with frequent reports of rape and murder.
She added that the High Court has reprimanded the government, but it has no effect on the "deaf" administration.
Aarti Singh declared that the Mahila Morcha has sounded the bugle to oust the Hemant government and will not stop until it is removed from power.
She criticized the Maaiya Samman Yojana, stating that it has become a hassle for women, forcing them to spend entire days filling and submitting forms.
She suggested renaming the scheme to Maiyan Pareshan Yojana instead of Maiyan Samman Yojana.
