SDO Uncovers Irregularities at Telco Chassis Yard

Five arrested after inspection reveals unauthorized possession of licenses and cash

Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh’s surprise visit exposes alleged fraudulent activities at Telco chassis yard.

JAMSHEDPUR – Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh’s inspection of the Telco chassis yard on Saturday revealed multiple irregularities, leading to the arrest of five individuals.

Two suspects, Shyam Yadav and Mohd Mukhtar, were found in possession of 20 driving licenses belonging to other individuals.

Virendra Singh, Pramod Singh, and Mohd Irshad were caught with unexplained cash and handed over to Telco police.

An FIR has been lodged against all five suspects, with an ongoing investigation into the matter.

The inspection was prompted by complaints from convoy drivers about alleged cash distributions at the yard.

SDO Singh documented evidence of cash payments on video during the surprise visit.

The official reviewed the payment and booking systems, examining challans and questioning drivers about the processes.

The discovery of multiple driving licenses with individuals raised suspicions of fraudulent activities.

SDO Singh ordered the closure of the All India Convoy Workers Union office located at the chassis yard.

The union office, originally a training center, was instructed to remain closed until its signboard is removed.

Drivers Gyan Sagar Prasad and Vinod Singh alleged that middlemen were booking chassis using other drivers’ licenses for personal gain.

The introduction of bank payments is expected to eliminate the middleman system and associated irregularities.
