Violent Clash in Jamshedpur Market Leads to Shooting Incident

Two Groups Exchange Fire at Baradwari Market, Injuries Reported

A violent altercation at the Baradwari vegetable market in Jamshedpur resulted in a shooting late last night, leaving two men seriously injured.

JAMSHEDPUR – Late night chaos erupted at the Baradwari vegetable market in Jamshedpur, under the jurisdiction of Sakchi police station, as bullets were fired during a clash between two groups.

Labor leader Rakeshwar Pandey’s bodyguard, Mukesh Tiwari, was shot in the thigh and stomach, and businessman Manoj Jaiswal also sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The conflict reportedly began over a disagreement between Mukesh Tiwari and Manoj Jaiswal, escalating as supporters from both sides joined.

During the confrontation, Jaiswal was allegedly assaulted by members of Tiwari’s group, leading him to open fire.

In the aftermath of the shooting, Tiwari was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) and is currently in the Critical Care Unit.

Police from Sakchi and Sidhgora stations responded to the incident, detaining Jaiswal a short distance from the scene.

A licensed revolver was confiscated from Jaiswal, who is also receiving medical treatment at TMH.

City SP Mukesh Lunayat has confirmed that an investigation is underway, and further inquiries will focus on the motives behind the altercation.
