Pakur, Jharkhand: Pakur Police have cracked a major burglary case by arresting four members of an interstate theft gang from Malda in West Bengal. The arrests were made in connection with a series of burglaries at locked houses in Sindhipara under Pakur Sadar Block.
According to police, the Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted under the direction of Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh, tracked down the accused using technical surveillance and human intelligence.
Based on the information provided by the accused, police recovered melted gold and silver, a Dell laptop, bronze utensils, stolen cash, a Yamaha R15 motorcycle, and tools allegedly used in the burglaries.
Police said the accused have previous criminal records involving theft, dacoity, Arms Act, and NDPS Act cases. During interrogation, they also confessed to their involvement in several other burglary cases in the Pakur town police station area.
All four accused are being sent to judicial custody, while further investigation is underway to identify other members of the gang and recover additional stolen property.
