Case of Ulidih police station area, both the accused are residents of Ulidih area.
Jamshedpur: Police has revealed the Vikas Singh murder case that took place in Ulidih police station area and arrested two accused. The arrested accused have been identified as Suraj Kutiya and Raju Kumbhkar. Both are residents of Ulidih area.
In the press conference held on Monday, SSP Piyush Pandey said that Vikas Singh, resident of Shankosai Road No. 2, was murdered due to old enmity. The accused first called Vikas with them on the pretext of intoxicating him and then took him near the tribal club and attacked him with a knife and iron rod and killed him.
During investigation, police came to know that accused Raju Kumbhakar wanted to avenge the murder of his cousin Saurabh Sharma alias Pawan. The name of Vikas Singh’s younger brother Vicky Singh had come up in the case of that murder that took place about a year ago. Vicky had also gone to jail in the case and has recently come out on bail.
According to the police, since it was not possible to reach Vicky, Raju targeted his elder brother Vikas Singh. For this, he along with his partner Suraj Kutiya hatched a complete conspiracy and carried out the murder.
After the incident, the police intensified the investigation on the basis of technical and human sources. Both the accused were arrested after receiving secret information. During interrogation, both of them admitted their involvement in the murder. Police have also recovered the knife and iron rod used in the murder. Both the accused have been sent to judicial custody.
