Five More Arrested in Kairav Gandhi Abduction

Total Arrests Reach 11 in Inter-State Kidnapping Case

JAMSHEDPUR – Police have arrested five more men in the abduction of young entrepreneur Kairav Gandhi from Bistupur, taking total arrests to 11.

The case relates to the kidnapping from CH Area under Bistupur police limits. The victim was taken on January 13, 2026.

Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey addressed reporters on Saturday. He said the newly arrested men were linked to an interstate gang.

Earlier, six accused were sent to judicial custody on January 30. They were arrested after the victim’s rescue.

Meanwhile, Kairav Gandhi, aged 24, was abducted mysteriously. He was rescued after 13 days in a dramatic police operation.

Moreover, officers reunited him with his family. The action followed intensive investigation across states.

Police expanded the probe using technical surveillance. Human intelligence inputs also guided the search.

Consequently, raids were conducted in Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, Delhi and West Bengal. Additional suspects were apprehended during these operations.

Investigators found that conspirators had moved to Jamshedpur six months earlier. They allegedly conducted surveillance of the victim.

Furthermore, the accused wore police uniforms during the crime. They used a Scorpio vehicle to transport him.

The route passed through Chandil and Ranchi. He was later taken to Dobhi.

Subsequently, he was hidden in a village in Gaya district. Police later traced and rescued him safely.

The arrested individuals include Guddu Singh and Upendra Singh. Others are Arjun Singh alias Aryan and Mohammad Imran Alam alias Aamir.

Meanwhile, Rameez Raja and Mohan Kumar Prasad were also held. Manpreet Singh Sekhon and Amarinder Singh alias Kartar Singh were arrested.

Moreover, Gurdit Sher Singh and Santosh Kumar alias Santosh Villen were detained. Rajkaran Yadav was also taken into custody.

Police recovered five mobile phones used in the crime. Officials said some accused had prior criminal records.

However, raids are continuing to trace absconding suspects. Officers said the investigation remains active.

Earlier reports detailed how the Bihar probe trail expanded. The victim was rescued after 14 days of captivity.

The DGP inspected site during the investigation. Police had earlier identified suspects in the case.
