JAMSHEDPUR – The Transport Department organized an awareness rally here today as part of the Road Safety Month campaign running from January 1 to 31.

District Transport Officer Dhananjay Kumar flagged off the procession. The rally started from the Deputy Commissioner’s office complex. Administrative officials participated in the awareness drive. Transport Department personnel joined the march.

Police personnel were part of the campaign. Representatives from voluntary organizations also took part. The procession moved through Bistupur and Sakchi areas. It covered major city routes during the journey.

Participants raised slogans about traffic rule compliance. “Always wear helmets” was a key message. “Fasten your seat belts” echoed through streets. The rally warned against high-speed driving.

“Avoid drunk driving” messages were prominently displayed. The campaign aimed to create public awareness. Traffic rule adherence can prevent most accidents.

Kumar explained the month-long observance’s primary objective. The initiative seeks to reduce road mishaps significantly. Public cooperation remains essential for the campaign’s success.

He emphasized that following regulations prevents tragedies. Most accidents occur due to rule violations. Citizen participation will ensure better road safety.

The rally returned to the DC office. It concluded after covering multiple city zones. The administration urged citizens to follow traffic norms. People should motivate others toward rule compliance.

The school safety programs complement governmental efforts. Earlier, unique awareness campaigns were conducted. The educational institutions have organized similar drives. Corporate initiatives support the cause. The month-long campaign continues across Jamshedpur.
