Company Crosses 6 Million Ton Delivery Mark for First Time in 3QFY2026

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel India achieved record quarterly crude steel production in 3QFY2026.
The company produced 6.34 million tons of crude steel. Production increased 12% quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year. Moreover, Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar facilities drove higher output.
Nine-month production reached 17.23 million tons. This represents 6% year-on-year growth. However, improved operations enabled the quarterly record.
Deliveries crossed the 6 million ton mark for the first time. The company delivered 6.04 million tons during the quarter. In addition, deliveries rose 9% quarter-on-quarter.
Year-on-year delivery growth reached 14%. Strong domestic market sales drove the increase. Meanwhile, nine-month deliveries totaled 16.34 million tons.
Automotive and Special Products achieved best-ever volumes. The vertical delivered approximately 0.9 million tons. On the other hand, volumes increased 20% year-on-year.
Rapid OEM approvals supported automotive growth. Hi-tensile grade from Kalinganagar received certifications. Furthermore, specialty steel from Jamshedpur combi-mill gained approvals.
Branded Products and Retail surpassed 2 million tons. Third quarter volumes grew 12% year-on-year. Besides, Tata Tiscon, Tata Astrum, and Tata Steelium performed strongly.
Industrial Products and Projects delivered 1.9 million tons. Engineering segment contributed significantly to volumes. Moreover, the segment recorded best-ever nine-month performance.
Critical international certifications aided Engineering growth. Oil and Gas segment received discerning approvals. However, Shipbuilding segment also gained certifications.
Downstream portfolio expansion continued during the quarter. Tubes and Tinplate verticals achieved double-digit growth. In addition, Wires recorded best-ever quarterly volumes.
E-commerce platforms generated Rs 2,380 crores gross merchandise value. Tata Steel Aashiyana and DigECA drove digital sales. Meanwhile, growth reached 68% year-on-year.
Tata Steel Netherlands produced 1.68 million tons liquid steel. Deliveries reached 1.40 million tons during the quarter. On the other hand, seasonal factors affected performance.
Subdued market dynamics impacted Netherlands deliveries quarter-on-quarter. Tata Steel UK served customers through downstream processing. However, deliveries stood at 0.52 million tons.
Electric Arc Furnace project enabling works advanced. Site landscape reshaping continues for construction. Moreover, the next phase approaches completion.
Tata Steel Thailand produced 0.31 million tons saleable steel. Deliveries reached 0.29 million tons during the quarter. Furthermore, deliveries improved 5% year-on-year.
Strong domestic rebar sales drove Thailand performance. Record production figures reflect operational excellence across facilities. Strategic initiatives continue supporting growth momentum.
