JAMSHEDPUR – BJP’s executive president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu has accused JMM leaders of distributing money at night to influence the Ghatshila by-election ahead of polling day.

Aditya Sahu released a video making serious allegations. He claimed ruling party MLAs distributed cash under darkness. The Ghatshila by-election is scheduled for November 11, 2025.

The BJP leader alleged money power tactics. He said JMM fears defeat in the contest. Moreover, attempts are being made to influence voters financially.

Sahu contacted election observers about the matter. He also spoke with the District Commissioner. Additionally, he informed the Superintendent of Police.

The BJP executive president demanded immediate action. He urged authorities to arrest JMM MLAs distributing cash. Furthermore, he requested their removal from Ghatshila constituency.

Several JMM legislators from Santhal Pargana remain stationed, he alleged. They continue staying in the Ghatshila area. However, their presence has raised concerns among opposition parties.

Local residents expressed dissatisfaction over the allegations. BJP workers also showed strong reactions. In contrast, they demanded strict enforcement of election laws.

The campaigning period has ended officially. The Model Code of Conduct remains in force. Meanwhile, election authorities are investigating the allegations.

The Ghatshila constituency has witnessed intense political activity. Both major parties deployed significant resources. On the other hand, independent observers monitor the situation closely.
