GHATSHILA – Kalpana Soren, Gandey MLA and wife of Jharkhand’s Chief Minister, campaigned in Ghatshila constituency for JMM candidate Somesh Chandra Soren in the upcoming by-election.

The Gandey legislator addressed a massive gathering at Galudih block ground. Thousands of women attended the rally.

Ministers Deepak Birua and Sudivya Sonu shared the stage. Several senior JMM leaders were also present.

Kalpana Soren said the by-election became necessary after Ramdas Soren’s demise. She stated that the late MLA supported Disom Guru during Jharkhand movement.

Moreover, Ramdas Soren served his constituency consistently. His son Somesh is an educated candidate, she added.

The JMM selected him for his educational qualifications. “He will continue his father’s legacy,” she said.

The legislator highlighted various state government schemes. These include health, education and pension programs.

Meanwhile, the government has implemented electricity bill waivers. Agricultural loan waivers have also been provided.

The Maiya Samman Yojana is running successfully. All welfare schemes are functioning effectively across Jharkhand.

Kalpana Soren emphasized local support for JMM. She noted that voters rejected opposition candidates previously.

“National leaders visited Ghatshila during last assembly elections,” she said. However, local voters rejected them then.

She expressed confidence about similar results this time. The by-election will reflect people’s continued trust, she added.
