JAMSHEDPUR – The birth anniversary of Bihar’s first Chief Minister, Shri Krishna Sinha, was celebrated with reverence on Friday at the Shri Krishna Sinha Sansthan in Bistupur. The event saw participation from intellectuals, social workers, political representatives, and citizens in large numbers.

BJP MP from Chatra, Kalicharan Singh, attended the event as chief guest, while former IPS officer and BJP leader Laxman Prasad was present as the special guest. Both dignitaries paid floral tributes to Shri Babu’s portrait and urged people to follow his ideals.

Meanwhile, members of the institution formally demanded that Shri Krishna Babu be conferred with the Bharat Ratna. Speakers described him as a freedom fighter, reformer, and visionary leader whose role in Bihar’s and India’s development was unparalleled.

“His contribution to India’s progress deserves the nation’s highest civilian honor,” said one of the speakers during the event.

Addressing the media, MP Kalicharan Singh stated that India and Jharkhand are advancing rapidly under BJP’s leadership. Referring to the Ghatshila Assembly bypoll, he expressed confidence that “the people of Ghatshila will ensure a decisive victory for the BJP this time.”

He also asserted that the NDA government is likely to return to power in Bihar, as “the people continue to trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development model and want a stable government under Nitish Kumar.”

In addition, several speakers highlighted Shri Krishna Babu’s role in education, social reform, and industrial progress. The institution also honored individuals for notable contributions in social service, education, and journalism with mementos and shawls.

BJP leader Laxman Prasad remarked, “Shri Babu set rare examples of good governance and integrity not only in Bihar but across India. The new generation must draw inspiration from his life and values.”
