JAMSHEDPUR – Illegal stone mining has been thriving in Kesargariya village near Potka panchayat in Seraikela district’s Rajnagar block.

Mining mafia has been operating continuously for several days now. The group has been excavating the hill illegally. Moreover, they have been stealing stones from the area.

Large-scale deforestation has occurred during these operations. The environment is suffering severe damage. However, the administration remains silent on the issue.

Local sources report that tractors openly transport stones. The forest department has shown negligence in stopping this. Meanwhile, the mafia’s confidence grows each day.

Villagers express serious concerns about administrative apathy. They fear the entire hill will flatten soon. On the other hand, the concerned departments maintain silence.

“The administration must act immediately,” a local resident said. “Otherwise, we will lose our natural resources forever.”

Environmental activists have raised urgent demands. They want the district administration to intervene now. The forest department must also take swift action.

The illegal operations continue without any hindrance. Potka panchayat’s hill faces complete destruction. Besides, the ecological balance of the region is at risk.

Residents have documented evidence of the illegal mining. They have also witnessed the transportation of stones. Furthermore, they have observed the cutting of trees.

The situation demands immediate attention from authorities. Local people await administrative response. In addition, they hope for strict action against the mafia.
