JAMSHEDPUR – Baharagora MLA Samir Mahanti was rushed to Tata Main Hospital after he complained of chest and abdominal pain late Thursday evening.

According to hospital sources, his health deteriorated suddenly at his residence. He was taken to TMH in an emergency. However, doctors confirmed that his condition is currently stable.

A two-member team of specialists has been assigned to monitor his condition. They are conducting several diagnostic tests. Moreover, the hospital authorities have restricted unnecessary visits to ensure proper treatment.

Meanwhile, several Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders and workers arrived at the hospital to check on him. They interacted briefly with the doctors regarding his medical progress.

In addition, the hospital management has increased supervision in the ward where the MLA is being treated. A reliable source at TMH said, “His condition is under observation, and doctors are taking all necessary measures.”
