RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the five-day Jharkhand IAS Officers’ Wives Association (JIASOWA) Diwali fair at Ranchi’s Morabadi Ground, with proceeds dedicated to social welfare activities.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the event today. The fair runs for five days at Morabadi Ground. MLA Kalpana Soren accompanied her husband during the ceremony.

However, the association has been organizing this annual event. Moreover, it celebrates its silver jubilee this year. The fair attracts significant public participation annually.

JIASOWA has served public welfare since its inception. The organization completed 25 years of dedicated service. On the other hand, it continues expanding its outreach programs.

Chief Minister Soren praised the association’s sustained efforts. He highlighted their work in education and health. Besides, the organization supports underprivileged communities consistently.

The fair’s entire revenue supports charitable activities. Funds benefit poor and needy individuals directly. In addition, money aids various social upliftment programs.

“This institution performs commendable work in education and health,” the Chief Minister said. Furthermore, he emphasized the fair’s welfare-oriented objectives. The association distributes funds to deserving social workers.

The inauguration featured multiple special events. A library was opened during the ceremony. Meanwhile, honor amounts were distributed to social workers.

Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar attended the ceremony. Other dignitaries also graced the occasion. However, the focus remained on charitable objectives.

The Chief Minister toured various fair stalls. MLA Kalpana Soren accompanied him throughout. Moreover, other guests explored the exhibition thoroughly.

Kalpana Soren extended her wishes to members. She congratulated JIASOWA on organizing the event. Besides, she hoped for the fair’s complete success.

Morabadi Ground hosts this traditional fair annually. The venue holds historical importance for Ranchi. On the other hand, it accommodates large public gatherings.

Various organizations organize festival fairs throughout the year. Each has different objectives and purposes. However, JIASOWA maintains its welfare-focused approach consistently.

The fair continues through October 14, 2025. Visitors can explore diverse stalls and exhibitions. In addition, cultural programs enhance the festive atmosphere.
