Jharkhand Provincial Marwari Conference Holds First Executive Meeting

JAMSHEDPUR – The first executive meeting of Jharkhand Provincial Marwari Conference was held at Rewah Resort and Banquet in Jamshedpur under the chairmanship of provincial president Suresh Chandra Agrawal. The gathering was hosted by East Singhbhum District Marwari Conference.

The meeting was attended by 107 members, including advisory committee members, patrons, provincial officers, executive members, special invitees, and presidents and secretaries from several districts. District president Mukesh Mittal welcomed the guests and emphasized strengthening the conference. Provincial president Agrawal called for ending divisions in society and spoke on several important issues.

Speeches were also delivered by senior vice president Lalit Poddar, vice president Nand Kishore Agrawal, former president Nirmal Kabra, treasurer Manoj Chaudhary, Kolhan divisional president Ramesh Khirwal, and others. The meeting was conducted by provincial general secretary Vinod Jain.

Major Decisions Taken:

  1. Mahapanchayat Formation – To strengthen organizational unity, a mahapanchayat will be formed at district and provincial levels.
  2. Legal Experts Panel – A panel of legal experts will be created to guide organizational and social matters.
  3. Society Service Fund – A fund was established to support widows, senior citizens and the needy. Contributions announced:
    • ₹51,000 by Suresh Chandra Agrawal (provincial president)
    • ₹41,000 by Ramesh Khirwal (Kolhan divisional vice president)
    • ₹11,000 by Ashok Modi (Jamshedpur)
  4. Study Committee on Constitution Amendments – District presidents will review the constitution and suggest amendments. Kamal Kedia was named convener, with Pawan Kumar Sharma as co-convener.
  5. Conference Trust Issues – A letter will be sent to the conference trust demanding:
    • Return of ₹25 lakh within 15 days
    • Immediate stop to unauthorized use of logo
    • Removal of logo from letterheads
      Legal action will follow if demands are not met.
  6. Provincial Office in Ranchi – The Marwari Sahyog Samiti was thanked for providing office space in Ranchi.
  7. Digitization of Official Communication – All circulars and notices shared via WhatsApp by provincial office bearers will be considered official.

During the discussion, a point was raised on the expiry of the East Singhbhum District Marwari Conference’s term on September 15, 2025. The provincial president, using constitutional provisions 4.5 and 4.6, approved a three-month extension with executive approval. The meeting concluded with the national anthem.
