MP Bidyut Baran Mahato Urges Youth to Embrace Sports for Fitness

JAMSHEDPUR – National Sports Day was marked with sports competitions at Tinplate Stadium, organized by the Department of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs. The event saw participation of around 400 players from across the district.

The program was attended by MP Bidyut Baran Mahato as the chief guest, along with the Deputy Development Commissioner.

Four different sporting events were organized as part of the celebration. Players chosen from the meet will now advance to represent the district in state-level tournaments.

Addressing the gathering, MP Bidyut Baran Mahato highlighted the role of sports in everyday life. He said that everyone, whether children or adults, should actively participate in sports to stay fit and lead a fulfilling life.

“Sports are essential for fitness and bring joy to life,” the MP remarked while encouraging participants.
