JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel employees will receive a 16.7 percent bonus this year, with the payment scheduled to reach their bank accounts on September 6.

The company management and Tata Workers Union signed the long-awaited bonus agreement on Thursday. While the settlement does not explicitly mention the percentage, it specifies the amount allocated under the bonus head. This totals ₹303 crore, to be distributed among the company’s workforce.

According to officials, the agreement was finalized during a meeting between the management and union representatives. Both sides reached mutual understanding and signed the deal in a positive atmosphere. The union extended gratitude to the management following the settlement.

News of the agreement sparked joy among employees across Jamshedpur. Worker representatives said the payout would be a major relief ahead of the festival season. The timing of the payment will help families in preparing for upcoming celebrations.
