DTO and DSP Traffic Meet Dealers to Enforce Road Safety Orders

JAMSHEDPUR – District authorities convened a meeting with fuel station operators to ensure strict enforcement of the “No Helmet–No Petrol” order as part of the road safety awareness campaign.
On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, enforcement officials held the meeting with pump dealers. District Transport Officer Dhananjay and Traffic DSP Neeraj Kumar instructed that petrol must only be provided to two-wheeler riders wearing helmets.
Moreover, it was emphasized that both drivers and passengers in four-wheelers must wear seat belts. Dealers were told to display clear signboards inside pump premises with messages like “No Helmet – No Fuel.”
The Traffic DSP further advised operators to install CCTV cameras outside fuel stations. He urged them to share details of vehicles violating rules so that action could be taken.
The meeting was attended by Motor Vehicle Inspector Suraj Hembram, members of the road safety team, and petrol pump operators from across the district.
