JAMSHEDPUR – Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists burned Jharkhand government’s effigy at Sakchi’s Jubilee Park roundabout protesting the renaming of Atal Mohalla Clinics.

The state government renamed facilities honoring former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. However, the new name became Mother Teresa Advanced Health Clinic. Moreover, this decision sparked widespread protests across Jharkhand.

BJYM Jamshedpur Mahanagar staged the demonstration on Saturday. Activists gathered at the prominent roundabout location. Furthermore, they expressed strong opposition to the government’s decision.

Party workers accused the state government of political malice. They claimed the renaming reflects appeasement policies. In addition, activists called it an insult to public sentiments.

BJYM Jamshedpur Mahanagar president led the protest demonstration. “Removing a national leader’s name is insulting,” he stated. However, he emphasized Vajpayee’s good governance legacy significantly.

The leader condemned the government’s distorted mindset. Meanwhile, protesters vowed to resist the decision completely. On the other hand, they demanded immediate reversal of renaming.

Other speakers accused the government of vote bank politics. They alleged anti-Hindu mentality behind the decision. Furthermore, activists claimed disrespect toward national heroes.

BJYM workers warned of aggressive agitation ahead. The party plans statewide demonstrations if demands aren’t met. Moreover, they threatened to intensify protests if the decision stands.
