BJP Leader Leads Tribal Farmers’ Protest Over Fly Ash Contamination

Ankit Anand Demands Compensation for Damaged Agricultural Land in Hurlun Panchayat

Key Points:

  • Tribal farmers protest at DC office demanding fly ash compensation
  • Over five acres of agricultural land rendered barren by contamination
  • BJP leader threatens farming inside DC office if demands unmet

JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leader Ankit Anand led tribal farmers to the District Collector’s office demanding compensation for agricultural land contaminated by fly ash in Hurlun Panchayat.

The farmers from Birsanagar area gathered at the DC office today. They demanded action against land mafia responsible for dumping fly ash. The contamination has affected their agricultural activities significantly.

However, the protesters issued an ultimatum to authorities. They threatened to start farming inside the DC office premises. This warning came after their demands remained unaddressed.

Meanwhile, Ankit Anand highlighted the severity of the situation. He stated that media coverage has brought the issue to public attention. The BJP leader emphasized that all tribal farmers’ land has become barren.

Moreover, the fly ash contamination has made rice cultivation impossible. Farmers can no longer grow paddy in their traditional fields. The soil quality has deteriorated beyond agricultural use.

In addition, farmers reported extensive damage to their livelihood. Over five acres of agricultural land has been completely destroyed. The contamination has spread across multiple farming plots in the area.

Furthermore, the affected farmers demanded immediate government intervention. They sought fair compensation for their losses. The tribal community expressed frustration over delayed administrative response.

On the other hand, local sources confirmed the environmental impact. “The land has become completely unusable for farming,” said a local resident. Another farmer added that their primary source of income has been eliminated.

Besides demanding compensation, protesters called for strict action. They want authorities to prosecute those responsible for illegal dumping. The farmers also seek rehabilitation measures for affected families.
