JAMSHEDPUR – Ashish Bhagat, who was shot near Sai Temple on LBM Road two days ago, died during treatment in Kolkata as police arrested five suspects in the case.

The victim was taken to Kolkata for better medical treatment. Family members rushed him there following the shooting incident. However, doctors could not save his life despite efforts.

Ashish died late at night in the hospital. His death has plunged the family into deep mourning. Meanwhile, police investigations continue into the shooting case.

Officers have arrested five youths connected to the incident. Interrogation of all suspects is currently underway. Moreover, police are gathering evidence systematically.

The arrested individuals include Babu Singh alias Taper prominently. Rahul Yadav alias Chotu was also taken into custody. Furthermore, Ranjan Das and Suraj Das joined the list.

Police recovered significant evidence from the accused during raids. One pistol was seized from their possession. In addition, two live bullets were confiscated.

Officers also found one cartridge during the search operation. These weapons likely connected to the shooting incident. However, forensic examination will confirm their involvement.

“We are interrogating all suspects thoroughly,” said a police source. The investigation is progressing on multiple fronts simultaneously. Besides, connections between accused are being examined.

Police expect to reveal case details today publicly. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation. Moreover, additional arrests cannot be ruled out.

The shooting occurred near Sai Temple on LBM Road. The location falls under Bagbera police station jurisdiction. Furthermore, the area has witnessed similar incidents recently.

Family members are devastated by Ashish’s death following treatment. They had hoped for his recovery in Kolkata. However, the injuries proved fatal despite medical intervention.

Police are preparing detailed charges against all accused. Legal procedures will be completed following investigation conclusion. Meanwhile, weapon examination continues in forensic laboratory.
