JAMSHEDPUR – A major theft occurred at a scrap warehouse in Burmamines police station area with criminals stealing valuable metal materials.

The incident happened on June 28 late night. However, the complaint was filed four days later on July 2. Businessman Ramjit Rai became the victim of this theft.

Ramjit Rai resides in Moon City on Mango Dimna Road. He received information about the theft on June 29 morning. The stolen materials belonged to KR Metal Enterprises.

Moreover, the warehouse is located adjacent to Lal Baba Foundry. Iron, steel and other metal scraps were stored there. The facility contained valuable recyclable materials.

Initial investigation reveals the theft occurred between 11 PM and 1 AM. Criminals systematically removed materials from the warehouse. They executed the plan during late night hours.

The estimated value of stolen goods ranges from Rs 3-5 lakh. Various types of metal scraps were taken by thieves. The exact inventory assessment is still ongoing.

Furthermore, Burmamines police reached the scene immediately after receiving information. Officers questioned nearby residents and witnesses. They are gathering evidence from the crime location.

Police are examining CCTV footage from surrounding areas. The investigation team hopes to identify perpetrators through video evidence. Technical analysis is being conducted on available recordings.

In addition, an FIR has been registered against unknown persons. The station in-charge confirmed the case registration formally. Several suspects are being questioned in connection with the case.

Local residents expressed concern about increasing theft incidents. Many businesses in the area lack adequate security measures. The incident highlights vulnerabilities of industrial establishments.

Police are also seeking technical evidence for the investigation. They are following multiple leads simultaneously in the case. Officers expect arrests to be made soon.
