Officials Monitor Preparations for Palamu’s Republic Day Event

District officials conducted a final review of Republic Day parade rehearsals at the police stadium, ensuring readiness for the grand event.

MEDININAGAR – District Commissioner Shashi Ranjan and Superintendent of Police Reeshma Rameshan oversaw the final rehearsal of the Republic Day parade on Friday at the police stadium. The event included 11 platoons, comprising security forces, NCC cadets, and students, presenting coordinated and captivating formations.

The final rehearsal, supervised by Sergeant Major Ajay Ojha, featured various contingents such as JAP 8, Jharkhand Home Guard, NCC teams from Girivar Inter-level School, and students from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. The participants demonstrated remarkable precision during the drill, enhancing the grandeur of the ceremony.

Parade Preparations Reviewed

The rehearsals also saw performances by school bands, including BCC Mission Girls’ High School students under the guidance of teacher Sanjay Kumar Tripathi. Meanwhile, Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya students rehearsed the national anthem for the flag-hoisting ceremony.

DC Shashi Ranjan highlighted the significance of Republic Day, stating, “This day marks the adoption of our Constitution on January 26, 1950. We urge citizens to join the celebrations in large numbers.”

Inspirational Leadership

SP Reeshma Rameshan encouraged the participants, emphasizing the honor of contributing to the national festival. “Participating in such events fosters pride and patriotism,” she remarked.

Prominent officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Shabbir Ahmed and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vikram Anand, also attended the rehearsal.

Anticipated Highlights

The main event on January 26 will feature State Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore hoisting the national flag. Additionally, 18 IAS trainees will be present, further elevating the significance of the ceremony.
