JAMSHEDPUR – A meeting was convened by MP Bidyut Baran Mahato to address the garbage disposal crisis in Mango municipal area on January 3, involving district and Mango Municipal Corporation officials.
The discussion revolved around identifying suitable dumping sites amid public protests against the current arrangements. Potential sites included areas in Betakocha and Adityapur. However, delays in setting up a plant in Adityapur raised concerns.
Betakocha Opposition and Alternative Options
Officials reported resistance from locals against using Betakocha as a dumping site. MP Mahato proposed engaging with local communities to resolve the issue.
