Tata Steel Announces New Leadership Changes Effective February 1

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has announced significant leadership changes, promoting and transferring key personnel. Abhijit Kumar, currently the Area Manager for Mechanical Maintenance, has been promoted to IL-3 grade as Head of Central Maintenance in the TSG department. He will report to the Chief of Shared Services and operate from Gamharia. The circular for this appointment will take effect on February 1.

Hemendra Satbhai’s Transfer

In a related development, Hemendra Gajanan Satbhai, the Head of Operations and Maintenance for CRC West, has been transferred within the IL-3 grade. He will now serve as the Head of Operations for CRCA under CRM Operations. Hemendra will report to the Chief of CRM Operations, TSM, and will be based in Khopoli. This change is also effective from February 1.

Operational Impact

These changes are part of Tata Steel’s ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and align its leadership structure with organizational goals. Both leaders bring extensive experience to their new roles.
