JAMSHEDPUR – A couple residing in Jemco Mishra Bagan Road No. 3 under Telco police station limits was attacked with sharp weapons by their neighbors on Wednesday morning. Ram Iqbal Singh, an employee at Tata Motors, and his wife sustained severe injuries during the assault.

Incident Details and Injuries

According to Ram Iqbal Singh, the attack occurred early in the morning when neighbors Balram Shah and his family allegedly assaulted him with sticks and sharp weapons. The attack left him with a deep head injury. His wife, who was returning from prayers, was also attacked, resulting in a fractured hand.

The injured couple was rushed to MGM Hospital after they filed a complaint with the Telco police station. Their treatment is ongoing.

Prolonged Dispute Led to Violence

The victims alleged that the assailants had been throwing stones at their house for several days, leading to repeated disputes. “Despite raising concerns about their behavior, the situation escalated into a violent attack,” said Ram Iqbal Singh. The couple hopes for swift action from the authorities.

Police Investigation Underway

Telco police have been informed about the incident and have started investigating the matter. Efforts are being made to determine the motive behind the attack and bring the culprits to justice.
