Party Suspends Activities for Seven Days in Observance of Former PM’s Passing

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee will hold a tribute meeting for former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at Tilak Library.

The gathering is scheduled for December 28 at Bistupur’s Tilak Library. District President Anand Bihari Dubey will lead the event.

Moreover, Sanjay Singh Azad has invited social organizations to join the tribute. The meeting begins at 11:30 am.

Wide Participation Expected

Representatives from multiple Congress departments will attend the memorial. Seva Dal members have confirmed their presence.

Additionally, Youth Congress and NSUI officials will join the gathering. The Minority Department has pledged participation.

“We invite everyone to be part of this homage,” Azad stated. He emphasized Dr. Singh’s lasting impact on India.

Programs Suspended

The district committee has cancelled all official events for seven days. This includes the planned foundation day celebrations.

Meanwhile, party agitations and outreach activities remain suspended. The tribute meeting will be the only event during mourning.

Furthermore, regular programs will resume on January 3, 2025. The office in-charge confirmed the temporary halt.
