MEDININAGAR – Circle Officer Upendra Kumar has filed an FIR against illegal timber smuggling in Sungri village.

The case involves Plot No. 1046. Officials confirmed the land belongs to the government.

“The illegal cutting caused revenue loss,” a forest department official stated.

The Raid

Officials caught smugglers loading trees Sunday. A truck and tractor were seized.

The smugglers cut 47 eucalyptus trees. They abandoned vehicles during the raid.

Investigation Details

The land falls under Khata No. 26. Revenue officials verified its status.

A truck numbered UP 21 CN 3645 was seized. Police expect more arrests.

Administrative Action

This marks first strong action by a CO. It has created ripples among timber mafia.
