JAMSHEDPUR – A 26-year-old railway contractor’s son died instantly when an uncontrolled dumper struck his scooter on Tatanagar Railway Overbridge late Wednesday night.
The victim, Aman Sharma, suffered fatal neck injuries in the collision. Meanwhile, the dumper driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
Investigation Details
The accident occurred around 12:30 AM near Burma Mines Second Entry Gate. Moreover, passersby alerted both Bagbera and Burma Mines police stations.
Police Response
A brief jurisdictional dispute delayed the body’s removal. However, Bagbera police later transferred the body to TMS Hospital’s morgue.
Family Background
Aman was the youngest son of railway contractor Amarendra ‘Chunchun’ Sharma. Furthermore, he assisted in his father’s contracting business.
The victim resided in Bagbera Traffic Colony. Additionally, he was actively preparing for Railway Protection Force recruitment.
The deceased has two brothers and a married sister. Besides, local residents remember him as a promising young man.
