District-Level National Youth Festival Concludes in Palamu

Cultural Events and Competitions Inspire Students’ Active Participation

MEDININAGAR – The district-level National Youth Festival was successfully celebrated on Monday at the District School ground in Palamu. The event was jointly organized by the District Sports Department, NSS, and Nehru Yuva Kendra’s Palamu unit.

Inauguration and Address by Officials

Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Shabbir Ahmed and District Welfare Officer Sewaram Sahu inaugurated the festival. DDC Shabbir Ahmed motivated the participating students and highlighted the importance of the National Youth Festival. He emphasized the government’s focus on promoting education, sports, music, and cultural excellence among youth.

Ahmed encouraged students to participate actively in such programs along with their studies. He stated that these events help students shape their future by honing diverse skills.

Enthusiastic Participation in Competitions

The festival featured a wide range of cultural and literary competitions, including group folk dances, solo folk dances, group folk songs, solo folk songs, poetry writing, story writing, and photography. Students from urban and rural schools and colleges across Palamu district participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their talents in various events.

Officials announced that participants securing first, second, and third positions would receive cash prizes and certificates. Winners from the district-level competitions will advance to the divisional-level contests scheduled for Tuesday.

Path to State-Level Competition

It was further informed that divisional-level winners will compete in the state-level competition, set to take place from December 21 to 23.

The event reflected the students’ vibrant cultural energy and highlighted the significance of nurturing youth talent in academics and extracurricular activities.
