JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration announced the commencement of paddy procurement for the 2024-25 Kharif season from December 15, with enhanced MSP benefits for farmers.
The district has completed procurement preparations. LAMPS centers stand ready in all blocks.
“We aim to ensure fair prices for every farmer,” emphasized a district official.
Procurement Strategy
District Magistrate Ananya Mittal emphasized direct sales. Farmers should avoid middlemen completely.
Meanwhile, the administration has tagged rice millers. Equipment installation at centers is complete.
“LAMPS centers are fully equipped for procurement,” noted an agriculture department representative.
Awareness Drive
Officials will conduct extensive campaigns. They’ll inform farmers about MSP benefits.
Moreover, various district officers will participate. The initiative includes agriculture and supply officers.
