JAMSHEDPUR – A contract worker died on Monday evening while working at Jindal Sabrang Company near Sai Aanchal Society in Adityapur, sparking allegations of negligence from the family.

The incident occurred around 5 PM. The deceased has been identified as Dijo Kaivart, aged 36. The worker’s family refused to accept the body and demanded strict action against those responsible. They also sought appropriate compensation.

Delays and Negligence Highlighted

Family members alleged they were informed about the incident nearly an hour later. On reaching the company, they were initially denied entry. However, after creating a commotion, they found Dijo’s body lying in a corner.

According to eyewitness accounts, no safety equipment was provided to the worker during the operation. A colleague revealed that the machine operator was not present at the time. As a result, Dijo himself operated the machine when its speed suddenly increased, leading to his immediate death.

The Jindal Sabrang Company reportedly operates under the authorized distributor Baburam & Company. Authorities and workers are now waiting for the outcome of today’s discussions.
