Srinath Public School Celebrates Annual Sports Day at JRD Stadium

JAMSHEDPUR – Srinath Public School, Adityapur, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with grandeur at the JRD Stadium. The event was graced by Padma Shri Purnima Mahato as the chief guest, alongside other notable dignitaries and school officials.

The program began with a march past by students representing Agni, Varun, Marut, and Prithvi Houses, who saluted the chief guest. The ceremonial torch, lit by Purnima Mahato, was carried around the field by the school’s top athlete, Sweta Mahato, and house leaders.

Young children from LKG and UKG entertained the audience with vibrant performances, showcasing agility and charm. Students demonstrated synchronized drills and yoga, combining fitness with art. Track events such as 100m, 200m, 400m, and relay races saw active participation. Winners were awarded medals and certificates by the chief and special guests.

Prithvi House claimed the overall champion’s trophy, earning the highest points across all events. Speaking to the students and parents, Purnima Mahato highlighted the integral role of sports in building concentration, discipline, and leadership skills. She encouraged students to strive for excellence in academics and sports, aiming for national and international recognition.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks by the school principal, Sanjay Kumar Singh, who expressed gratitude to the attendees and contributors for making the event a success.
